Montoj
Montoj
Founded by Overdrive members Troy Marcus and Matt Olivieri, the all original rock band Montoj is the jewel of Philadelphia’s underground music scene. Originally founded in 2007, the band is a fusion of rock, electronica, funk, and a little bit of jazz. This eclectic mix of styles has earned them a following of dedicated fans, and brought about the emergence a new style of music, that the band has coined “creep rock”. Their self-entitled album, Montoj, released independently in 2007, featured “Tell Me My name” and “Songs for Seasons” heard on 88.5 (WXPN) and Jaxon’s Local Shots at 93.3 (WMMR).
A few career highlights include performing at such notable venues as:
- The Theatre of Living Arts
- World Cafe Live
- The North Star Bar
- The Trocadero
- Grape St. Pub
- Xfinity Live
- Wachovia Center
